GAD - Generalized Anxiety
Disorder
Generalized anxiety disorder or GAD is an anxiety disorder that
is qualified by abnormal, uncontrolled and oftentimes
irrational preoccupation around everyday things that are
disproportional to the actual source of
concern.
This extreme worry frequently interposes with daily operations,
as individuals troubled with GAD typically catastrophise, await
tragedy, and are excessively engaged with daily matters such as
health issues, money, family troubles, friend troubles or work
troubles.

They frequently present a variety of physiological symptoms,
including fatigue, fidgeting, headaches, sickness, muscle
tension, muscle achings, trouble swallowing, shaking,
twitching, irritability, perspiration, insomnia, and hot
flashes.
These symptoms must be unchanging and on-going, remaining for
at least 6 calendar months, for a formalized diagnosis of GAD
to be presented.
Close To 6.8 million American adults experience
GAD.
